I grow flowers. I build experiences.
I built this because life is short and joy matters.
Grey Dog Flowers is a small, intentional flower business rooted in presence, joy, and the decision to create something meaningful while we are here.

I am the person behind the buckets, the emails, the farm stand, and the occasional unhinged blog post or idea.
I grow flowers because they stop people in their tracks. They slow things down. They make you notice the season you’re standing in instead of the one you’re racing toward.
I am not interested in doing things the biggest, fastest, or most traditional way. I am interested in doing them thoughtfully. With humor. With intention. And with just enough structure to keep the wheels from fully coming off.
Grey Dog Flowers exists because I decided to stop waiting.
I am a builder by nature, a creative by instinct, and someone who believes deeply that how we spend our days is how we spend our lives. I care about thoughtful work, clear values, and experiences that feel human instead of transactional.
This business is not a hobby. It is not an accident. It is something I chose, deliberately.

The Origin Story
Grey Dog Flowers did not begin with a five-year plan and a spreadsheet that behaved itself.
On Mother’s Day 2024, I lost Ash, my cattle dog of sixteen years.
Grey Dog Flowers is named for her.
I cried every day for six weeks. The kind of grief that rearranges your nervous system and makes time feel irrelevant.
Two weeks later, I started a flower business.
I didn’t start this because I had everything figured out. I started it because I needed to create something that brought people joy. Something alive. Something rooted in the present moment. Because the truth that grief makes painfully clear is this:
We only get one life.

Mission:
To create beautiful, seasonal flower experiences that help people feel present, connected, and alive.
What guides every decision I make:
• Chase joy
• Beauty is essential
• Presence over perfection
• Small, well-made experiences are powerful
• Now is what matters
What you can expect

Return + Refund Policy
Because flowers are living things and this farm is run by an actual human.
I do my best to make sure every bouquet leaves this farm beautiful and thriving. But flowers, like people, are a little bit unpredictable - and just as sensitive to being left in a hot car or forgotten on a porch. Here's how I handle returns, refunds, pickups, and all the little “what-ifs” that come with running a self-serve flower stand.
PICKUP POLICY
When you order a bouquet for pickup, you'll receive an email within 24 hours confirming your pickup date and details. Most bouquets are ready within 1–3 days unless you’ve requested a specific date. All pickups are self-serve at the Grey Dog Flowers stand (110 Grey Haven Drive, Mills River, NC) during open hours.
Please note:
-
I do not hold bouquets beyond your scheduled pickup day unless you've contacted me in advance.
-
Bouquets not picked up during the specified time frame will not be refunded or replaced.
-
The flowers will not wait for you. And neither will I (but please communicate).
DELIVERY POLICY
If you're getting flowers delivered, here’s how that works:
You’ll get an email at least two days prior to delivery with your expected delivery window and important info—like how to prepare if you won’t be home. If you're not there to receive the bouquet, it will be left at the delivery address in the safest, shadiest spot I can find.
BUT—and this is a big one:
-
I am not responsible for bouquets after they are delivered.
-
If you're not home, you need to leave out a vase with water. Otherwise, your bouquet may wilt, faint, or fully give up on life.
-
No refunds or replacements will be issued for bouquets left without water, picked up late, or accidentally used as a centerpiece for your neighborhood squirrels.
